The Agape Poultry Project is a gift that keeps on giving! A poultry barn of 2000 chickens provides nutritious and healthy food for the children at Agape Children’s Village to eat and provides a source of income for ACV from selling eggs at the market.
The Poultry Project expanded to the surrounding community when we launched the Community Women’s Poultry Project which trains and equips women to start their own sustainable poultry farm. Through their new business women will be able to provide for their families and send their children to school.

As a young boy living at Agape Children's Village, Emmanuel received the support he needed through sponsorship at just 8 years old. With hard work, perseverance, and the support of incredible people, Emmanuel graduated from medical school and returned to serve alongside our team at the Agape Clinic.

This trip was an adventure of learning. What an honor it is to have to actively learn to trust our Father. I am so thankful that I have to work to do so because it forces me into a position of wonder. From the moment we arrived at the airport, God put us into situations where we were forced to trust Him, and every single time, we came out clothed in His victory and glory.
With a quick prayer and pivot in direction for the program, we jumped into a VBS children's program of games, kids' songs, and our sailor skit. Forty-nine children gave their lives to Jesus yesterday in our unexpected VBS program in Masaka!
Bouncing off the seats we drove over potholes as we gazed out the windows to see cream-colored cows grazing on grass with sugar cane blowing in the breeze. We arrived Saturday morning in Iganga at the church where the AICM sponsored children were excitedly waiting for us.
As we walked around the room, we read labels bearing names such as, “Worthless”, “Demon-Child”, “Orphan”, or “Ugly”. Sandi Balli noticed one girl who sadly eyed her blank label. She quietly explained to Sandi, “I can’t write down what they call me… They call me ugly.” Today, this girl was exposed to the truth that the name Christ calls her is victorious over every other label.
“This was personally one of my favorite parts, as my group came with open and eager hearts. I heard deeply painful stories from these children of being nearly beaten to death, abandoned by both parents, or not knowing when they would next eat.”
It is sometimes overwhelming to try to understand the vastness of God’s plans. He brought together a team of 7 women all the way from California to this beautiful country. Though we have yet to discover all that he will use us for, we have gotten to see glimpses of his plan unfolding.
