Njuba Jeremiah is 12 years old and in Primary Five. Jeremiah is the youngest of ten children and was born to his parents in their older age. Many of his nieces and nephews are close in age to him, so they often feel more like siblings. His favorite food is rice and fish, his favorite color is red, and he enjoys riding bikes and playing football. His favorite subject is music, dance, and drama, and this year he hopes to improve his grades. Jeremiah dreams of becoming a professional driver who also trains others to drive safely to prevent road accidents. He is healthy and active but often seeks out friends in the community to play with since his relatives at home are much older. Jeremiah is shy, but very lively when he is with peers his own age.
