"Merry Christmas" from Sandi Balli, President of AICM Uganda

Dear AICM family, sponsors, partners, prayer warriors and friends,

Greetings and a very Merry Christmas to each one of you!

As I reflect on this past year, I want to bring a word of encouragement to your heart.  I have been front and center watching how God has used you in ways that you will never even know.  Some of those have been your letters to your children, your words of encouragement to me, the resources and finances that you have given to rescue the forgotten, and most importantly, your prayers for me and for the work that God has allowed us to do.  At the close of this year, I stand more in awe of Him than I ever have before.  I stand amazed at how He chooses to use each one of us to reach out in His name.  I am humbled to be called into His plan to reach the lost and hopeless.  And I know that I don’t do it alone. I am very confident that this work is done in partnership with you.  Each one of you, either as a sponsor,  a donor, a church partner, or a prayer partner have a huge part in the work that God is doing through AICM.  I have stood on the red dirt roads of Uganda and watched a hungry child’s hand be taken to the pot of food provided by you.  I have been there, with tears streaming down my face, when a child who has never had the hope of a future, be told that they have received a sponsor and will be starting school very soon.  And I have seen the look on a desperate mother’s face when she holds her very sick child knowing that there is nothing she can do to help them.  However, I have watched this same mother’s eyes be filled with hope when her child receives a sponsor and knows confidently that when her child falls sick, they will be fully treated to medical care.  Throughout this year, and through each one of these events, I have always acknowledged that it was YOU that God used to bring those moments to His kids.   May God reward you abundantly for changing so many lives this year.

Here’s to the end of a good year and hope for an even better one to come,

Sandi Balli

A letter from AICM Uganda Office Director, Azarias Nelson Kibaya

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

We, at the AICM Uganda office, bring you great news of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that the Prince Of Peace will surely be alive in your hearts and minds as you face the day to day challenges and trials.

2019 has been such a great year for us here in Uganda. We began the year with auditions for the Agape Kids Choir. We have also done the construction of the Nabirere Born Again Primary school and we have seen the student population rise from 20 to 83 children. We have provided nutritious food for children, tuition, school supplies and had medical fees covered. This is all because of your continued support through prayers and and financial support.

God has been faithful to us and proved himself strong from the very beginning of the year when we had a bouncing baby boy born from our communication’s director Alex and his wife. Another exciting event we enjoyed was the wedding of another staff member, Norah. We also celebrate completion of a University Degree by one of our interns who also happens to be the first beneficiary of our Agape University Sponsorship Program which we began four years ago.  We have had more people join the university and tuition scholarships in various institutions and professions and we had one university graduate this year. A number of our sponsored children have completed their primary exams and we look forward to seeing them join different levels this coming year.

The year had several climaxes including the Conferences that were held in August, September and November for women, pastors, youth and children.  God doesn't cease to amaze us each time with the great work that he is doing.

As we all look forward to the Christmas I pray that each one of you remembers that Jesus came so that we may live. His birth signified that for the first time humanity had a place in the Godhead. He is our great high priest in that sense that he does understand everything about us. He is Immanuel- God with us.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

Give a gift, change a life this Christmas

We’re doing something very exciting and a little different this year for Christmas!

We’re giving you,  the sponsor a choice of what you’d like to purchase for your child.  We’re offering specific items that all of the children in the ACCS program are in great need of.  You get to choose what you would like to give your child and the AICM staff will purchase the items and deliver them to your sponsored child.  It’s a personal Christmas gift directly from you!

There are so many things to choose from like...

  • Mattresses

  • Blankets

  • Bed Sheets

  • Mosquito Nets

  • New dress or shirt and tie

  • Food for their family Christmas dinner

  • Goats

  • Cows

There are four simple steps to making this year a Christmas to remember for your little boy or girl in Uganda!

  1. Click the button below

  2. Choose which item(s) you would like your sponsored child to receive

  3. Check each item you would like to purchase for them

  4. Calculate the total amount due and donate the amount needed to purchase the items you chose

We encourage you to visit the link and make your selections as soon as possible.  There are items available for purchase, such as sheets, that are as little as $11!  It would be so incredible if each sponsored child received a gift this Christmas.  It truly will be a Christmas they will never forget!

One of our own graduates through the AIUS Program

The Agape Institute & University Scholarship (AIUS) program was created out of a desire to see our sponsored young men and women be afforded the privilege of higher education.  We want to give every opportunity for a child in our program to become all that God desires them to be. We are currently providing a variety of opportunities for these young adults. We provide the student with the training or education that best fits their academic level and their strengths.  Some of our students are studying two-year art programs, tailoring, fashion design, the Bible Institute, while others are obtaining a degree in social work, accounting or medicine.

This year we celebrate the graduation of Sylvia, one of our amazing AICM interns.  Sylvia has been sponsored through AICM since she was a young girl and was one of the first students accepted into the AIUS program. She finished her degree in accounting and a big party was held in her honor. Well done Sylvia!  We are so proud of you!

Sylvia's story and others like it are made possible by the generous men and women who give towards the AIUS program.  Well done and thank you to our wonderful partners!
